We Say No More

According to a report by the Texas Department of Public Safety, there were over 19 thousand incidents of sexual assault in Texas in 2016. Over 1 in 3 adult Texas has experienced some form of sexual assault or experience domestic violence in their lifetime. With the reality being even much higher due to underreporting, it is critical that our community steps up to keep support services and resources available to those who need them.

Nobody deserves to live in fear, and nobody deserves to lose their lives to violence. Recognizing a need for awareness and support, the Townsend Agency is dedicating this campaign to Gateway Family Services. They are a crisis center and a family violence and sexual assault victim shelter whose mission is to “reduce the effects of physical, psychological and emotional abuse among victims of Violent Crimes, including Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, through crisis services and working to prevent violence through public education.” Their services are always free of charge and confidential.

Gateway’s Services include = a 24 Hour Hotline, Emergency Transportation, Shelter for Victims of Family Violence or Sexual Assault, Safety Planning, Peer Crisis Counseling and Support Groups, Medical, Legal, Justice System Advocacy and Accompaniment, Education Regarding the Cycle of Family Violence and Recognizing the Red Flags, Violence Prevention Programs for Students, and Community Education Programs.

We are passionate about the work Gateway Family Services is doing and are committed to raising awareness and supporting Youth TimeBanking, and then giving our customers, business partners…and anybody else that cares, the ability to help them and make an impact themselves. We will donate $10 to their organization for every single person that gets recommended to our agency for a quote.
